Canon C300 price drop??

Seems, according to a DVXuser forum, that Canon has already dropped the price of the C300 too approximately $16,000 USD… this is VERY good news for me :) I’v been plotting day and night, ways to come by this powerful beast. Knowing it’ll be $4,000 grand lighter, I’m feeling just a little more optimistic… maybe! As Canon Rumors stated, could this be a move to strengthen competition against the Scarlet???

The difference between sensors in the Scarlet & C300

This is a very important read for anyone who isn’t knowledgeable about the actual sensors in theses two wonderful cameras which have recently been announced, RED Scarlet & C300. What’s intriguing to me is how the Scarlet achieves it’s 4K performance through Bayer Interpolation, therefore falsifying the claim from RED that Scarlet’s sensor captures 4k. Bayer Interpolation basically means that a significant portion of the output resolution (15-20%) is generated after capture using a highly accurate estimation system. Canon’s C300 truly captures in 4k… all the information captured for RGB is real, nothing is generated guess work. Though it’s only 1080p, it’s a PERFECT way to generate that resolution. You’ll have plenty to work with in post.

Plutino Group

Shot this fun little clip again with Jennifer Collins after a great shoot at Plutino Group. We had a whole array of outfits to fool around with BUT the Lomokino unfortunately broke near the beginning of our fun, so this is an edit with what little we were lucky to come away with! FYI - Lomography exchanged my broken Lomokino for a brand new one on the spot within a minute of me walking in the door crying for help…. very pleased with the customer service!
